The Halloween Zone
By Princess of Donutland
Mysterious lights, lanterns, pumpkins and ghouls. Monsters witches and horrors galore. All normal things that you can find on Halloween, and all as real as the things in our dreams. But for one boys, these were more than a reality. Camron E. Reds thought it was just another perfectly normal day for him, but, he has yet to find out that he has stumbled into...the Halloween Zone. Let's observe him as he wakes and begins his day.
Carmon had groaned as he woke, he wasn't fond of this day, nor had he been for some time. For you see, on All Hallows Eve he would have to spend time with people he would rather avoid, namely, Donnie. In fact, there was to be a party, and as much as the idea of having to converse and play retarded little games with whatever humans Donnie decided to bring, he had decided he would rather spend as much time 'decorating' as he could. Little did he know that the majority of the decoration was already done, and all that was left was the pumpkin carving. It was only his luck that the one providing the pumpkins would be his sister, rather than the one who had initially volunteered.
Though as he completed washing and entered the primary living room he blinked, the decoration was cheesy at best, but it would do for a party of these sorts. Shrugging to himself as he didn't seem to mind having to do nothing with the party, he himself planned to be missing for it entirely, a movie sounded nice. But just as he was making his way out he heard a distinct voice calling out to him.
"Camron! Where do you think your going? You idiot, we finished it all without you! So you! are going to be carving the pumpkins!"
These were Orders from Melissa Reds, and as Camron has learned over the years, her orders were to be obeyed.
Grunting a fine under his breath Camron accepted the pumpkin that was all but shoved into his chest before turning and beginning to walk to a quieter place, the living was already filled with those that had apparently helped prepare the party. Besides, he was sure he saw a tuft of blonde hair and he wasn't willing to stay long enough to have to greet that fellow just yet.
Unfortunately, before he could take so much of a step he had to stop as he heard a warm a happy greeting from behind. "Hey Cam, happy Halloween."
Ah, he had almost gotten away, but not quite, so turning to face the other he stared at him with his usual semi glare and muttered. "Don't call me that."
"Whatever" Retorts the rather excited fallen. Of course, Donnie was always one to be happy during these seasons, but for some peculiarly disturbing reason he seemed almost overjoyed. "Mel told me you might need some help carving those pumpkins, so I'll be making them with you."
Now by this time, Camron knew better than to question Melissa's decisions, and the sooner this was over the faster he could be out, besides, if he had to busy himself with cleaning up the mess carving pumpkins would make, the more time he'd have to wait for his friends to arrive. Once they were there, he'd be lost in the crowd and the emergency would be evaded, it seemed simple to him really. "Yea, right, let's get this over with."
And so they left to carve pumpkins in the garage, the floor had been lined with plastic bags to make clean up easier, and as a few pumpkins lined the floor, they knew they had a bit of work to do. Everything was going fine, and Camron was enjoying the temporary peace until Donnie decided to point out an obvious flaw in their plan.
"So...are we doing this in the darkest area of this house?"
"Because the garage is easier to clean."
"O....K...couldn't we have brought lights."
"Do you seriously need them..."
"Guess not, but you might."
"What's that's supposed to mean?!"
"Hey man, if you want to give the guy a crooked grin, be my guest, but...that doesn't even look like a mouth."
"It's supposed to be screaming." Camron had replied flatly, but this is where things went wrong.
It first began with a little slip, Camron, in anger had begun to remove the innards of the next pumpkin with a bit too much zest and caused a bit of it to land on Donnie. It was unfortunate that camron hadn't noticed, because Adonis blinked slowly before retaliating, not wasting any time with interrogation.
"Hey what the hell was that for?"
"Feh...ack...hey get off Camron, you know you don't even have a chance"
They tumbled for a few moments before Donnie did indeed succeed in pinning Camron onto the floor. Camron gave a valiant struggle, but in the succumbed.
"Alright alright! I give, now get off!"
"Oh no, I'm not done with you yet."
"...wait...what?...why are you staring at me like that....hey...what are you doing? Put that thing away! ..Augh gross! Not cool man! Not cool!"
"What's the matter, don't you like the slick wetness"
"What the hell! It's gonna stain! That...awe jeeze it's getting sticky! Can you Just please take that out now!"
"awe, but it likes you"
"I...would like it if you got off and took that thing from out of my shirt! NOW Get off!"
"Seesh calm down Camron! It's just a few pumpki......n....seeeds..."
He glanced up to see Melissa starring at them with the door ajar, from her perspective, the two were in a rather questionable position. What with Donnie straddling her brother and his hand up his shirt and the two covered in sticky fluid. The two paled and as Donnie ran after her to try and explain Camron was left to take the now sticky pumpkin gutting spoon out from under his shirt. He tried his best to clean himself off all the seeds that were dumped on him, but before he could leave he heard his sister bellow to him. "Clean up your mess and replace all those pumpkins...this time, your working alone!"
Oh yes, this Halloween turned out far worse than could have imagined, not only had his image been tarnished...but now, he would be spending the rest of his day carving pumpkin...but that's just another day, in the Halloween zo-
"Um...excuse me? Who the hell are you?"
Oh I'm the narrator, I tell the story.
"Yea well stop spreading lies, that never happened, not like that at least! And Why the hell did you make it sound like...ugh...you disgust me"
Wait...what are you doing with that carver, I was just trying to entertain people...put that down...!
"You know what, this stories is over folks. Nothing to see here."
The End
